Gilfillan Farm
Education
All of the identified structures on the Gilfillan Farm property are in need of varying levels of restoration work. It is the mission of the Historical Society of Upper St. Clair to restore the historic buildsings and reconstruct those that are no longer standing, to the standards set forth by the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.

Documentation is the key to history. Gilfillan Farm is no exception. The Historical Society of Upper St. Clair continues to build on the Farm's history by documenting the restoration work and events that take place. We hope you enjoy them!
Community Groups
The Gilfillan's often played host to local community members and school groups, sharing with them what life was like living and working on a farm. Through these experiences, Margaret Gilfillan was inspired to ensure that the farm be used in a similar manner even after she could no longer be with us. The Historical Society of Upper St. Clair continues to work with local schools and community groups to facilitate learning and engagement with the property. Gilfillan Farm has even hosted tractor training events.
